Gary Lineker scored a hat trick in an FA cup 3rd round tie against Burton Albion played at the Baseball ground. 2 goals from Alan Smith and 1 from Steve Lynex were all wiped out by the FA as the game was ordered to be replayed behind closed doors. The match that every City fan still talks about the infamous "white tights" game. In an FA cup 3rd round match Keith Weller wore white tights as Leicester City beat Norwich City 3-0. A spectacular goal from Keith Weller which took him past 3 players before hitting the net, proved to be his last for the club.
