  • How pleased / disappointed are you with your season so far?
Pleased with the first quarter when we played reasonably well but did not get the results we deserved. Disappointed with the second quarter when we failed to beat West Brom, Burnley, Southampton, Fulham and 10-man Sheffield United at home. Pleased with the third quarter as we beat Spurs and Liverpool and looked to be heading for safety quite comfortably.
Lord knows what the fourth quarter will hold, but we have just lost at home to Crystal Palace and away at West Brom which has put us right back in the mire. If we can just avoid being overhauled by Fulham or Newcastle over the next 12 games then I will be happy and relieved in equal measures. We need to make it to the summer still as a Premier League club, sell some family silver and reinvest that money in a striker who can ensure we are a little further away from the danger zone in the future.

  • How impressed / disappointed have you been with Leicester’s season so far?
  • Up until the recent injury crisis, I had Leicester down to finish second after Manchester City who appear to be sauntering to the title now. You have a bit more of a challenge on your hands now but fingers crossed you can make the Champions League after falling away last season. What Leicester have done in establishing themselves as regular challengers for the top six without spending massive amounts of money is a blueprint for how other clubs can operate. Brighton's chairman Tony Bloom is on record as saying he wants to establish the Albion as a top 10 Premier League club, so hopefully we will be "doing a Leicester" in the not-too-distant future.

  • Who has been your stand out player so far this season?
Up until the last month or so, Yves Bissouma. His agent came out in January and said that Arsenal had been in contact about a summer move, since when he has gone off the boil slightly. A lot of Brighton fans suspect he has had his head turned and it would not be a surprise to see him sold for big money this summer - as already eluded to, we need to speculate before we can accumulate in the transfer market. One unsung hero has been Joel Veltman. We triggered a £900,000 release clause in his Ajax contract last summer and although signed as a defender, he has excelled at right wing back in the absence of the injured Tariq Lamptey. One of the bargains of the season and a class act who never puts a foot wrong.

  • Which player, if anyone from your squad, has disappointed you this season?
As a collective, our forwards have endured a torrid time. No attacker other than Neal Maupay has more than two goals. His total of seven looks good for a player in a bottom six side, but with the chances he has missed he could realistically be on 15 or 16 for the season. We have underperformed our xG by a ridiculous 18 goals. If you believe in those sorts of stats, that suggests Brighton should be fifth in the table, so it is fairly clear where the blame lies for our struggles.

  • Who, if anyone, from the Leicester Squad has impressed you this season?
  • James Justin and Harvey Barnes. Two young English players who should be in Gareth Southgate's squad. Given our aforementioned problems in sticking the ball in the back of the net, it would be fascinating to see a striker like Jamie Vardy in this Brighton team.

  • How happy are you with your manager?
He has been a bit hit and miss this season. Some of our football has been excellent and on our day, we can go toe-to-toe with the best sides in the league. Those days are rare though; we are too inconsistent, not helped in the first half of the campaign by him constantly chopping and changing his starting XI and using players out-of-position. We played West Brom and Burnley at home with five centre backs in the team and then took on Liverpool with three out-and-out centre forwards.
Graham Potter could be on the cusp of creating something great for us, as those wins over Liverpool and Spurs show. He is probably a clinical centre forward away from doing that. Equally, if we do not score more goals between now and May and get back to keeping clean sheets then he could take us back to the Championship. It has been a funny old season.

  • This is the return meeting between our teams this season, what were your thoughts on the earlier fixture?
We were ghastly. It was another one of those games where Potter made baffling decisions, leaving Big Dan Burn exposed against Justin and Barnes who with grim predictability tore him apart. The FA Cup game was much better until the 94th minute when we switched off and showed what we are capable of, even if both sides were heavily changed.

  • Where do you think our two teams will finish in the league this season?
Depending on how Leicester cope with their current injury crisis, third spot behind the two Manchester clubs. With the form Fulham are in, I could see them overtaking us but we can surely finish above Newcastle, so 17th. If we do slip below the Toon, then we deserve to go down!

  • Which 4 teams do you think will finish in The Top 4 this season?
Manchester City, Manchester United, Leicester, Liverpool

  • Which 3 teams do you think will be relegated.
Sheffield United, West Brom and Newcastle - fingers crossed

  • Finally a score prediction for this game.
  • We have only won once at home all season, so a 1-1 draw which I would bite your hand off for right now.
